Here on the Abacus, you'll find weekly school happenings and regular updates highlighting life at the Island School. From time to time we'll feature a specific class, what they might be learning and the teachers behind each class. Our students participate in activities which promote: literacy, mathematical reasoning, science exploration, foreign language, and other elements that build a good foundation. Our annual field trip to Legare Farms is certainly a multi-sensory adventure! The students enjoy close encounters with the farm animals, trotting through the fields in search of their perfect pumpkins, and bouncing along with friends on the hayrides.
