Here on the Abacus, you'll find weekly school happenings and regular updates highlighting life at the Island School. From time to time we'll feature a specific class, what they might be learning and the teachers behind each class. Our students participate in activities which promote: literacy, mathematical reasoning, science exploration, foreign language, and other elements that build a good foundation. Our students spend much of their day outdoors, engaged in learning opportunities and free play. Today on the playground, our little ones are playing instruments, painting group murals, examining bugs, running, participating in dramatic play, squealing and laughing. It's a good day to be outside!
